One-Pot Soy Garlic Chicken and Rice
This incredibly simple and fuel-efficient one-pot meal combines shelf-stable canned chicken and rice with savory soy sauce and aromatic sesame oil, all cooked effortlessly in a mini rice cooker for a quick, high-protein dinner.
Ingredients
- •½ cup White Rice
- •1 cup Water
- •5 oz Canned Chicken Breast
- •2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- •½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- •½ teaspoon Sesame Oil
Instructions
- 1
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. (This helps remove excess starch for fluffier rice.)
- 2
Add the rice, water, drained chicken breast, soy sauce, and garlic powder to the inner pot of the rice cooker. Stir gently to combine.
- 3
Cook rice until tender and all the water has been absorbed, typically about 20-25 minutes.
- 4
Once cooked, open the lid and drizzle the Sesame Oil over the rice and chicken. Fluff gently with a fork to distribute the chicken and seasonings evenly.
- 5
Serve hot directly or transfer to a bowl.
