Ingredients
- •1 pound Ziti pasta
- •1 pound Ground beef
- •24 oz Pasta sauce
- •1 cup Water
- •2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
- •½ cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- •¼ cup Chopped fresh parsley
- •1 Egg
- • Salt
- • Pepper
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
Cook the ziti pasta in a large pot according to the package directions until it is al dente.
- 3
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.
- 4
Add the pasta sauce and water to the skillet with the browned ground beef and stir well to combine all ingredients.
- 5
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley until well combined.
- 6
Add the cooked ziti pasta to the meat sauce mixture in the skillet and stir to ensure it's evenly coated.
- 7
Gently stir in the whisked egg mixture from step 5.
- 8
Transfer the entire ziti mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 9
Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the ziti.
- 10
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- 11
Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is beautifully melted and bubbly, and the edges are slightly golden.
- 12
Allow the baked ziti to cool for a few minutes before serving to help it set and prevent burns.
