1. Copy the recipe URL from any website
2. Go to Quick Add
3. Paste the URL and click Import
4. Review and save the extracted recipe

From Photos

Perfect for cookbooks and printed recipes:

1. Take a clear, well-lit photo
2. Upload to Quick Add
3. Our AI reads the text and extracts the recipe
4. Review and make any edits

From Text

Have a recipe in text form?

1. Go to Quick Add
2. Paste your recipe text
3. Our AI will parse it into structured format

From Instagram DMs

Save recipes directly from Instagram:

1. Find a recipe Reel or post on Instagram
2. Share it to the @openrecipeai Instagram account via DM
3. Our AI automatically extracts the recipe and saves it to your account
4. Check your OpenRecipe dashboard for the imported recipe

Note: Instagram-imported recipes are saved as private to respect the original creators. You can share them via private share links with friends and family.

Pro tip: Include the creator's @handle in your message for proper attribution!
